Intent:

At Great Malvern Primary School, our teaching of geography begins for our youngest pupils with building up their knowledge of our school and local area. As children progress through the school, learning leads on to an increasing understanding of the world around us. The teaching of key places is developed as the children journey through our school along with their mapping and fieldwork skills. The understanding of human and physical geography is built up so that by the time children leave our school they have an understanding of environmental interactions and sustainable developments.
