What is Eco Council?

Eco Council is a group of pupils who meet each month to discuss eco friendly and environmental issues within school which prepares children to live their future lives with consideration for global issues. There is one eco councillor from each class in Key Stage 1 and 2.

Why do we have an Eco Council?

-To ensure our school is eco-friendly and prepares pupils to live with reflection of the environment.

-To make sure each class has a platform to voice their opinions.

-To discuss and raise issues related to the environment.

Our Priorities this academic year:

With the cost of energy rising, we will be continuing to ensure that we are being energy smart both at school and at home.  This will include us making posters and reminders for in school as well as talking in assembly to make everybody aware of what they need to do to save energy. We will also be working with the other Eco Councils from across our MET schools.
