Supporting Families
Support for Families
At Great Malvern Primary School, we know that family life can sometimes be challenging and we work closely with our families to provide support when things feel difficult. Reaching out and accepting help is not always easy but we have a friendly team who are always ready to listen to find a way forward together.
There are a wide variety of services and information available on our website below and in our Supporting Families Offer but sometimes it is better to talk face to face. Please don't hesitate to get in touch with Jo Cory through the school office email

Supporting Families and Working Together
Food Bank Support
The cost of living is rising. Should you find yourself in need, please come and talk to us. Jo Cory can make a referral to the food bank for you. Our local food bank is based in Malvern Link and can arrange delivery of a food parcel even at short notice (as long as they are open). We don't want our families to go hungry.
Early Help for Families
Early Help means providing help and support when a family is in need of some additional support or facing difficulties which are hard to manage. School works alongside families to access the right support at the right time. We work together to make decisions.
This could be at any point in a child or young person’s life, from birth right the way through to 18 years of age (25 years of age for some SEND children) and more than once, as we know children’s needs change as they grow, and their family circumstances change.
Through working together, accessing different support, we hope to prevent the challenges increasing and to help children and their families thrive.
Family Support and Emotional Support

Sometimes you might need to act quickly.
If you are able to, talk to one of the team in school so we can also help support the family.
In an emergency always dial 999
