Global Links
Our aims
We aim to enable young people to become successful learners and confident individuals by offering real and relevant learning experiences. We strive to inspire them to become responsible citizens who are prepared for life in a global society and work in a global economy.
To develop the children’s knowledge and understanding of the world around them and through this, to develop their awareness of spiritual, moral, cultural and social issues raised by the topics studied.
To prepare children to embrace learning as an activity for life and to allow them to make full and well-informed contributions to the local and wider communities in which they live.
To lead the children from a dependent form of learning to become independent learners.
To provide pupils with the questioning and problem-solving skills that will help them as adults in a fast changing world.

Latest News From Martinshamba
Mrs Davies & Mrs Carey visited Martinshamba in October 2024 and were able to share with our children the progress of the school link and returned to school with some fantastic plans to further strengthen the link which they shared with the children in a whole school assembly.
Here is the write up and latest news from their visit:
Our time in Tanzania
We had a truly wonderful time at Martin Shamba with Steven and his staff. The children put on a fantastic welcome assembly for us with traditional African dancing and some great drama. It was lovely to reconnect with our friends but the school has suffered post Covid. The fence that Great Malvern helped construct in 2019 has been vandalised unfortunately and most of the classes now have at least 120 children with only one teacher. What was truly inspiring is the children’s passion for learning. Despite many living in poor conditions, the children want to achieve and are determined everyday to try their best.
On the last day of our visit with Steven and the children we helped to prepare a lunch for all the staff. We were made to feel so welcome into the school community and many of the staff have been asking about all the children back home.
See you soon, Mrs Davies & Mrs Carey
