Welcome to Year 4
We would like to wiah you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
As the weather gets colder they might also like :
Music lessons continue on a Wednesday afternoon and the children will be keen for you to come and see how much they have improved next term. We will invite you to a recorder concert before they start to learn the violin after half term.
Our residential trip to West Malvern Outdoor Centre parents meeting is on Wednesday 8th January @ 2.30 in the school hall. This will enable us to answer any questions that you might have. Please remember the payment scheme to spread the cost and try hard to make another payment before Christmas.
We will also be starting to study Japanese and look forward to building on the enthusiasm the children showed at our Japan launch day.
Your support with homework is still very much appreciated. All children have 1 piece of numeracy a week, times tables to learn, spellings to learn and a piece of literacy homework. Please check that your child completes these on time and that they are returned to school. Any problems, please come and talk to us.
Reading in Year 4 is still essential and while they read mostly in groups during lesson time the 1:1 time they have with you is key to their learning and understanding of different texts.
